We scope a search by the work, not the words on the req.

Titles are noise. The same words cover wildly different work, so we calibrate a search to the real scope and systems a role involves, then target the people who have operated there. It surprises people often enough that it's worth saying plainly.

“Backend Engineer” doing real distributed-systems work

The title undersells it. The work is consensus, replication, and correctness under failure. That's our scope.

MAY NOT BE

“Infrastructure Engineer” wiring up managed services

The title says infra, but the work is configuration rather than systems. We'd calibrate with you before taking it on.
